Hoardo in Claude and ChatGPT

Hoardo MCP server: ask Claude or ChatGPT what's in your boxes

Ask Claude or ChatGPT. Hoardo knows the box.

Connect Hoardo to Claude or ChatGPT, or another AI app that lets you add a custom MCP connector with sign in. Ask where the tent is, what's in box 12, or to pack your camping stuff on a list, and it answers from your own boxes.

Free · Asks before it changes anything · Disconnect any time

In Claude, with Hoardo connected: a question answered from your boxes, and a change waiting for your OK.

What you can ask Claude or ChatGPT about your boxes

Any language, no special commands. It looks things up in your Hoardo, and changes things only when you ask.

  • “What's in box 12?”

Everything inside, the boxes inside it included, and which room it's in.

  • “Pack my camping stuff on a list”

It finds your camping things and makes a packing list you can tick off in Hoardo.

  • “Add a drill to box 3 in the garage”

In it goes, with how many or what it cost if you mention it.

  • “Move the winter jackets to the attic”

Moved, and Hoardo's History remembers where they came from.

What the Hoardo MCP server can do

It can look up rooms, boxes, things and lists, and search. It can add things (up to 50 at a time), update them, move them and put them back. It can add, update and move boxes. It can add and rename rooms. It can make and edit lists and tick things off. It can delete things and boxes (they come back from History). It cannot delete rooms or whole lists. Photo scans and voice adds stay in the Hoardo app. See AI photo scan.

It asks before it changes anything

Looking things up just happens. Adding, moving or deleting waits until you say yes in the app you're chatting in. Read tools are marked read only and delete tools are marked destructive, so your AI app asks you first.

  • Asks before every change
  • Deleted things come back from History
  • Can't delete rooms or whole lists
  • Hoardo's own notes stay private
  • Disconnect any time in Settings

The app you connect gets what it looks up and what you ask it to change, and its own company's privacy policy applies to it. Ours explains it under “Apps you connect”. Privacy policy →
