HVAC and plumbing inventory app Know what's on every van before you roll out.
Hoardo is a free HVAC and plumbing inventory app: every van, bin and shop shelf is in one list, so you know what's on board before you drive to a job and what to restock when you get back. It runs in the browser on any phone or computer, so there's nothing to install.

HVAC and plumbing inventory software in three steps
Every van is a room
Make a room for each van and one for the shop. In each, add a numbered box for every shelving unit, bin, case and drawer, and write the number on the real one.
Add your parts and tools
Type a part and how many, say what you're loading out loud, or take a photo of a bin and check what Hoardo lists. Or bring in the parts list you already keep in a spreadsheet.
Label, count and restock
Print a QR label for every bin. Scan it to see what should be in it, count a van against what Hoardo expects, and get an email when a part runs low.
A plumbing inventory app built around your vans
Each van is a room with its own shelving, bins and cases, and the shop is one more. Fittings, valves, PEX, filters and capacitors go in the bin they live in, each with how many there are. Open a bin on your phone and you see what should be in it before you start digging.
The same part in the van and on the shop shelf is two entries, each with its own count. Hoardo doesn't move stock between them by itself: when you restock a van, change both counts, or move a whole item to the van's bin.
An HVAC inventory app for counting van stock
Make a stocktake list for a van and count it at the end of the week. Each part shows what Hoardo expects next to what you count: tap + or scan as you go. A match turns green, short turns orange, too many turns red, and the line at the top keeps the score.
When the count is done, “Use counted quantities” writes the numbers back to the parts, so next week starts from what's really on the van.
Low-stock emails before a part runs out
Tap “Notify me?” beside a part's quantity and set the level that's too few: four filters, three capacitors. When the count gets there, Hoardo emails whoever set it, and the count turns red in the van's list.
Put what's low on a to-do list for the next trip to the supply house, then tick it off as it goes back on the shelf. Hoardo doesn't order anything for you.
Shared tools: who has the press tool
Put the expensive shared tools on an asset list: the press tool, the vacuum pump, the thermal camera. Check one out to a tech with a back-by day and a reminder, and scan its tag to check it back in. Late ones turn red, so you know whose van to check before the next job.
Each tool keeps its serial number, model and status, and its History shows every check-out, with who did it and when.
QR labels on every bin and case
Print QR labels for your bins, cases and shelving on A4 sticker sheets or a label printer, and asset tags with a barcode for your tools. Scan a label with your phone and that bin opens, with everything that should be in it.
The scanner reads the barcodes on parts' packaging too. Add a part's barcode once, and scanning the next box of it opens that part, wherever it is. Bluetooth and USB scanners that type like a keyboard work as well.
Service and calibration dates that remind you
Give gauges, leak detectors and pumps a Next service date. Tap “Notify me?” beside it and pick when, from the day itself to 30 days before or after, and Hoardo sends an email and a notification in the app to whoever set it.
Your whole crew, van by van
Share each van's room with the tech who drives it, and the shop with everyone. Pick what each person can do: edit, or only view. Techs sign in with an email code, Google or Microsoft, and History shows who changed what, with a way to restore it.
Bring the parts list you already have
Drop your spreadsheet into Hoardo's chat: an Excel or CSV file, or a photo of the list taped inside the van door. Hoardo plans the rooms from your vans and the boxes from your bins, turns a minimum column into low-stock alerts and other columns into properties, and you check the plan before anything is added.

What this HVAC and plumbing inventory app is not
Hoardo keeps track of parts and tools: what you have, where it is and who has it. It doesn't run the rest of the business:
- No job costing, quotes or invoices, and no parts billed to a job.
- No purchase orders and no automatic reorders: a low-stock email is where it stops.
- No dispatch, scheduling or field service integrations.
- No automatic transfers between vans: you change both counts, or move the item.
- No GPS: it knows where a part is because someone put it there.
Free for every van and every tech
Hoardo is 100% free, with no paid plan: every feature, every van, every part and everyone on your crew. A third van or a new hire never changes the price.
Export any van, all of them or a list as a CSV whenever you want your numbers somewhere else.
Questions about HVAC and plumbing inventory
What is an HVAC inventory app?
An HVAC inventory app keeps a list of the parts and tools on each service van and in the shop, with how many of each and where they are, so techs know what's on board before a job. Hoardo does that with a room per van and a numbered box per bin, shelf and case.
Is there free plumbing inventory software?
Yes. Hoardo is free with every feature included: vans and bins, part counts, low-stock emails, QR labels, scanning, stocktakes and your whole crew. There's no paid plan.
How do I keep track of inventory on service vans?
Make each van a room and each bin, shelf and case a numbered box, then add the parts with their counts. Label the bins with QR codes, count each van on a stocktake list now and then, and set low-stock alerts on the parts you can't run out of.
Can I see which van has a part?
Yes. Search looks through every van and the shop at once, and each result says which van and which bin it's in, with how many.
Can techs scan bins and parts with their phone?
Yes. The phone's camera reads Hoardo's QR labels and the barcodes on parts' packaging. Scan a bin's label to open it, or a part's barcode to find where it is. Keyboard-style barcode scanners work too.
Can I track who has the shared tools?
Yes. Put them on an asset list and check each one out to a tech with a back-by day and a reminder. Late ones turn red, and scanning the tag checks a tool back in. See the tool tracking app guide for more.
Does Hoardo reorder parts?
No. Hoardo emails you when a part gets down to the level you set, and you order it the way you do now. It doesn't make purchase orders or talk to suppliers.
Does it connect to my field service software?
No. Hoardo doesn't connect to dispatch, scheduling or invoicing software. You can export your parts as a CSV, and import a spreadsheet when you start.
