# Best Garage Sale Apps for Sellers in 2026

> Garage sale apps split in two: finders that map sales, and catalogues that list what's on your table. Hoardo is the second kind: photo or voice add, a Garage sale box, QR labels and a CSV price sheet. It does not put your sale on a map.

Search "garage sale app" and you'll mostly get apps that *find* sales: maps, weekend routes, pin drops. That's useful if you're the buyer. If you're the seller, you need something else first: a list of every item, a price, and a way to know which bin on the driveway is which.

This page splits the two jobs. Finder apps first, then apps that help you *run* a sale. [Hoardo](https://www.hoardo.com/) sits in the second group as a catalogue, not as a map of yard sales.

## Apps to find garage sales (for buyers)

**Yard Sale Treasure Map (YSTM).** The big US finder. Shoppers plot weekend routes. Sellers can [list a sale for free](https://yardsaletreasuremap.com/tools.html) (up to 16 photos on a listing, hours, a description) and print yard-sale signs with a QR code that opens that listing. Optional yearly Premium removes ads and unlocks extra map tools and listing analytics. This is a sale *on a map*, not an item-by-item inventory of your table.

**gsalr.com.** A web map of garage, yard, moving and estate sales. Good for spotting what's on this weekend. You're still writing the listing somewhere else if you're the seller.

**MapMySales and similar local maps.** Same job as YSTM with a smaller footprint. Fine as a buyer pinboard. Don't expect them to price a toaster.

If you only need shoppers to find the address, list on YSTM (and Marketplace, Nextdoor, Craigslist). That's advertising. It is not a price sheet.

## Apps to run your sale (for sellers)

The seller gap is "what's on the table, what did I ask, and did we already sell it?"

**Yard Sale Treasure Map, as a seller.** Free listing, photos, QR signs to the listing. Strong for putting the *sale* on a map. Weak for 80 individual items with their own prices. You still need a list in your hand or on your phone.

**Hoardo.** A free [home inventory app](https://www.hoardo.com/articles/what-is-an-inventory-app). You walk around, add every yard-sale item (photo, voice or type), group them in a **Garage sale** box, type an asking price, print QR labels for bins, export a CSV price sheet. Or put the pile on a Selling list and share its public shop page: one link with photos and asking prices for friends and neighbours. It does not put your sale on a map, take offers or hold a reserve. One photo per item. 100% free.

*A Garage sale box in Hoardo: each item on the table, with the asking price you typed.*

*AI Image scan in Hoardo, single-item mode: snap one thing, get a name to check.*

*AI Speech scan: the fastest way to list many yard-sale items.*

*Prints in Hoardo: QR labels for sale bins, so a scan opens the list instead of unpacking.*

*Sample rows from a Hoardo room CSV export: real column names, used as a paper price sheet. This is the file, not a Hoardo screen.*

**A notes app or a spreadsheet.** Free, and they fall apart once you want a photo on the item, a QR on the bin and a search that works with dusty hands. That's the whole point of an inventory app. See [spreadsheet vs Hoardo](https://www.hoardo.com/articles/storage-organization-sheet-vs-hoardo) if that's the current plan.

## Is there a garage sale app?

Yes. Several, for two different jobs:

- **Find a sale:** YSTM, gsalr, MapMySales, plus Facebook and Nextdoor search.
- **Run your sale:** a listing on YSTM (and Marketplace) for the address, and a catalogue (Hoardo, or paper) for the items.

There isn't a single app that both maps every driveway in town *and* inventories your table for free. Don't download a finder and expect it to price 80 things.

## What is the best garage sale app for sellers?

If your problem is "will anyone come?", advertise: YSTM, Marketplace, Nextdoor, a sign.

If your problem is "I don't know what I'm selling or for how much", catalogue first. That's Hoardo's actual job, the same as [how to price garage sale items](https://www.hoardo.com/articles/how-to-price-garage-sale-items) and the [garage sale checklist](https://www.hoardo.com/articles/how-to-have-a-garage-sale). For a move, use the [moving sale](https://www.hoardo.com/articles/moving-sale) split (sell vs keep vs donate) and QR labels from the [barcode inventory](https://www.hoardo.com/articles/barcode-inventory-system) guide.

## Free to catalogue the table

[Hoardo](https://www.hoardo.com/) is 100% free. It will not replace a finder app. It will replace the notebook you keep under the cash box: every item, a price, a photo, QR labels, a CSV. That's the seller half of a garage sale app.
